A planet is discovered in the same orbit as Earth's but is located on the exact opposite side of the sun, making it not visible from Earth. The European Space Exploration Council decide to send American astronaut Glenn Ross and British scientist John Kane via spaceship to explore the other planet.
After a disastrous crash-landing Ross awakes to learn that Kane lies near death and that they apparently have returned to Earth, as evidenced by the presence of the Council director and his staff. Released to the custody of his wife, he soon learns things are not as they seem.

Queen II was a breakthrough in terms of power and ambition, but Queen's third album Sheer Heart Attack was where the band started to gel. It followed quickly on the heels of the second record - just by a matter of months; it was the second album they released in 1974 - but it feels like it had a longer incubation period, so great is the progress here. Which isn't quite to say that Sheer Heart Attack is flawless - it still has a tendency to meander, sometimes within a song itself, as when the killer opening "Brighton Rock" suddenly veers into long stretches of Brian May solo guitar - but all these detours do not distract from the overall album, they're in many ways the key to the record itself: it's the sound of Queen stretching their wings and as they learn how to soar to the clouds. There's a genuine excitement in hearing all the elements to Queen's sound fall into place here, as the music grows grander and catchier without sacrificing their brutal, hard attack. One of the great strengths of the album is how all four members find their voice as songwriters, penning hooks that are big, bold, and insistent and crafting them in songs that work as cohesive entities instead of flourishes of ideas. This is evident not just in "Killer Queen" - the first, best flourishing of Freddie Mercury's vaudevillian camp - but also on the pummeling "Stone Cold Crazy," a frenzied piece of jagged metal that's all the more exciting because it has a real melodic hook. Those hooks are threaded throughout the record, on both the ballads and the other rockers, but it isn't just that this is poppier, it's that they're able to execute their drama with flair and style. There are still references to mystical worlds ("Lily of the Valley," "In the Lap of Gods") but there's not the fantasy does not overwhelm as it did on the first two records; the theatricality is now wielded on everyday affairs, which ironically makes them sound larger than life. And this sense of scale, combined with the heavy guitars, pop hooks and theatrical style, marks the true unveiling of Queen, making Sheer Heart Attack as the moment where they truly came into their own.

At the same time, interest in spirit photography - events in which images of the dead are caught on film - has never been higher. Installation couldn't be smoother. The process is streamlined, but not so much so that you automatically get stuck with a bunch of "trial offers" that are really advertisements for other products; dialog boxes let you choose to accept these or not. It's otherwise a matter of clicking past the legal mumbo jumbo and restarting your computer. You will then be enveloped in the bubbly cartoon world that is this program's interface, with almost comically large buttons to click, pastel backgrounds, and flapping butterflies.
But Christian Card Studio offers more than just a pretty interface. The editing tools seem at first rudimentary, but they offer power and flexibility. Resize, rotate, and crop images. Edit text and alter its color, font, and size. Those who have used image editing software of any kind will experience no difficulty whatsoever, and even beginners will soon be slinging text and images with the best of them. The best way to learn is to dive right in and start experimenting, as the "tutorial" is pretty skimpy and unclear.

Details of the next instalment in the hugely successful Pro Evolution football franchise from Konami have been announced.
The firm has given the next game a brand new name, ditching the expected Pro Evolution Soccer 7 in favour of the more FIFA-like Pro Evolution Soccer 2008.
Among the new features will be a full editing suite and Teamvision, a brand new AI programme allowing the computer to adapt to a gamer's individual style of play. This, according to Konami, means that if a player repeatedly races down the left wing, for example, the game will learn this and plan its counter attack.
On-the-ball dribble moves will also be increased, set-pieces reworked with the inclusion of a defensive wall and - as expected - the graphics have allegedly been given an overhaul.
“We have taken a long hard look at what has made the Pro Evolution Soccer series so popular, and where we want to take it next," producer Shingo ‘Seabass’ Takatsuka said.
"With the new Teamvision AI system, we truly believe that we have elevated the game to a new level. The movement of players off the ball, coupled with the total control given to the player, creates the closest simulation of real football to date. We really hope everyone enjoys our evolution. I promise it will be worth the wait."
Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 will be released this autumn on PS3, Xbox 360, PC, PS2, PSP and DS.
